Request for the provision of company’s information
The Myanmar Investors Development Association (MIDA) is a non-profit non-governmental organization based in Yangon. It was established on 30 July 2014 with the objective of serving as a medium between international and local companies. MIDA’s membership is made up of private companies from various sectors of the economy and these companies are implementing various projects across the country. Under these projects, a total of over thirty-thousand acres of land is going through development. The major requirement for these projects is the need for infrastructure development and to ensure power and water supply. These projects include construction of light industrial park, low-cost and high-end housing projects, industrial and logistics businesses, construction of heavy industrial park such as steel manufacturing and chemical manufacturing, establishment of commercial zones, agriculture-related businesses and consumers – oriented industries.
The MIDA has been in the process of inviting interested foreign investors to develop these projects in partnership with the MIDA’s membership public companies or on their own. In view of the potential of these projects to provide opportunities for many infrastructure works for local companies and contractors who have been working in the infrastructure sector, LAND DEVELOPMENT, ROAD & BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION AND BUILDING CONSTRUCTION WORKS, the MIDA is therefore foreseeing “ Invitation to Tender “ process in the near future. For these reasons we request the local companies and contractors interested in infrastructure works, land development, road & bridge construction and building construction to contact the MIDA and to provide the following information on their companies :
1. The official name and contact details of the company
2. Corporate standing of the company, including the certificate of company incorporation
3. Statement of works undertaken in the past and other relevant experiences
4. Information on the tenders won, if any, previously.
5. If willing, evidence of company’s financial ability
6. References
7. Any additional information in support of the company’s standing
The MIDA is requesting this information in preparation for the envisaged tender process. As such, the companies and contractors providing the requested information shall be on the shortlist for any “Invitation to Tender” under any project of the MIDA’s membership public companies.
